Jenna Mulhern, a senior at West Chester Henderson High in Pennsylvania, took third overall at the Eastbay Cross Country Championships at Balboa Park's Morley Field in San Diego. Mulhern, a Furman commit, covered the 5-kilometer course in 17:20.8, contributing to five Northeast scorers in the top 12, as the All-American lineup prevailed against the Midwest by a 29-54 margin to secure the first victory for the region since 2013. Mulhern became the first Northeast female athlete to place in the top four at a pair of national meets after finishing fourth Dec. 4 at the RunningLane Championships in Alabama.
